Захожу на сайт www.ielts-mentor.com, где есть обширный банк тем WT1 — более 260 штук!
Захожу на сайт www.random.org, чтобы в случайном порядке выбрать тему — мой диапазон от цифры 1 до 265. Мне попалась тема за номером 27.
Попробуйте сделать так же — это очень хороший вариант создать для себя атмосферу, схожую с той, что будет на официальном тесте.
Итак, тема Writing Task 1:
The charts below show the main reasons for study among students of different age groups and the amount of support they receive from employers.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
» You should write at least 150 words.
» You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The bar charts demonstrate the types of motivation that people have for studies and the extent of support from their employers. Generally speaking, the older a student becomes, the lower the chances are that they choose to study for improving their career, and employers tend to provide more assistance to people under 30 and over 49 years old.
According to the first chart, it is obvious that people under 26 are highly motivated to study for career purposes at 80%, and this rate gradually declines with the age category – only 20% of 49-year-olds decide to study for this reason. The opposite pattern can be observed for people studying for interest because about 10% of the youngest students do that, while this percentage goes up as individuals grow older, and those aged 49 and over top this list at 70%. As for the employer support, it is clear that the students younger than 26 have higher probability of being helped with fees and time off at 65%. On the contrary, the lowest amount of support is provided to the people aged 30-39 at 35%, but the eldest students normally enjoy a higher rate of assistance, which is equal to roughly 44%.
