There is a trend of increasing amounts of consumer goods, which leads to environmental problems. What are the reasons for this trend? Give your own opinion and solutions.

Introduction – Растет количество потребительских товаров, что может привести к экологическим проблемам. В чем причины этого явления и как можно решить эту проблему?
Essay body 1 –
Topic sentence: Причины влияния большого количества товаров на экологию:
Examples:
(1) растущее производство требует большего объемов ресурсов, что неизменно ведет к негативному влиянию на экологию (дерево, вода, земля)
(2) отходы от производства загрязняют природу — вредные газы, жидкие и твердые отходы и их неправильная утилизация
Essay body 2 –
Topic sentence: Пути решения проблемы
Examples:
(1) объем мусора растет ввиду большого объема упаковочного материала (бумага, пластик), который выбрасывается после покупки товара, поэтому нужно использоваться переработку отходов
(2) разработка и использование экологически чистых технологий производства
Conclusion –
Главные причины негативного влияния растущего количества товаров на экологию стоит искать на этапе производства товаров. Пути решения включают переработку мусора и использование экологически чистых методов производства.

It is hard to deny that the ever-growing quantities of consumer goods inevitably exacerbate ecological situation on our planet. In order to understand the roots of this issue, it is important to unveil the reasons of this issue and propose solutions.
Firstly, one major reason why goods pose threat to the environment is seen in the production of such goods. Thus, the rapidly developing industry obviously requires the rising use of resources, which in its turn provides a negative impact on nature as more trees have to be cut down, water to be used in production and land required for new industrial construction. Moreover, production emits harmful substances in the form of chemical exhausts, liquid or solid waste that are not often treated in the right way and simply are thrown out into the nature.
The possible solutions to this problem may include the following. Firstly, the amplifying amount of garbage resulting from commodity packaging, such as paper and plastic, as well as post-production waste, should be recycled in order to re-use those materials. For industries it is crucial to invest in creating and employing environmentally friendly production technologies that would minimize the use of fossil fuels and optimize other natural resources needed for manufacturing goods.
All in all, the essential reasons for a negative influence of the growing production on the environment need to be sought both at the stage of production and consumption. In this situation, recycling and new green production techniques should be in place in order to reduce damage to the environment.
